Amanda Bossard was just out her high school days when she started her marine biology studies at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her professional career in the field of commercial seafood worker in the year 1999. She began to work on the F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner that was turned into a salmon tender in the name of Murat Aritan, who worked as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard and Aritan are married now and are working together to claim their place in their industry. Both are advocates of conservation as well as profiting from natural resources that are used in the industry of seafood. Otolith was created by Philadelphia through Bella Bossard and is currently the mother of two children who are aged three and one Bossard. The name Otolith serves as a fond memory of Bossard's deep understanding of the biology of fish and her husband's many connections in the business of fishing. The two are frequently separated for up to 5 months each time they work towards objectives in the areas of environmental and financial which reflect their dedication and independence wherever they live.
